Welcome!

New Landscape’s monthly meetings began in November, 2004. We are a peer-led support group for men and women who have DID/MPD or another dissociative disorder, who are in the process of re-claiming self and life, and who would like to share experiences, thoughts, and feelings with peers.

Participants of New Landscape may still have a dissociative system, but they have a framework for understanding it. They may still have abreactions and crises, but they are able to cope with them outside the group. (New Landscape does not provide crisis support.)

New Landscape is not a group therapy session, it is not a 12-step program, and it is not a study group. Our sole purpose is to provide a place where peers can share their experiences in a safe, non-judgmental environment. You can be heard and recognized for who you are, validated just by being listened to and understood. You can talk about things you might not be able to share with non-DID/MPD people. You can also hear how others deal with some of the same issues and challenges you may be facing.

If you’d like to be part of this support group but you’re not sure this describes you, you’re welcome to join any meeting and give it a try. Once you have contacted us to get meeting information, you can just attend. You do not have to sign up ahead of time.
