Dr. Phil just aired a show about MPD/DID on Thursday, May 10th, 2012. What did you think about it?
Here’s the link to some videos on his page:

And here is a short clip from the show:
Do you ever realize that a symptom that you thought was psychological, was actually physical? Or vice versa? Example: lots of headache pain was actually stemming from the psychological issues, but at first you thought it was actually a physical issue.
Are there areas of resistance in therapy or in your life – things you know you need to change or face but sort of aren’t or won’t? Talk about those areas.
Are we healing from DID/MPD or from abuse? Or both?
In finding therapists or help, what are you thoughts on people who claim to be experts – and even have the credentials saying they are experts, vs. those who have direct experience working with DID? Obviously people could be both – but feel free to talk about anything related to “experts” of DID.
Talk about either of these issues. The original question at group was: What does it mean if I have flashbacks but all I see is black? This spurred discussion about how people experience flashbacks.
Apparently DID people can drop into hypnotic states pretty easily. Is this true for you? What do you think of this idea?
